MYT were proud and privileged to support the Queen’s Young Leaders programme from 21st June to 30th June being the official partner to organise the ‘Flights and Travel’ for all the Young Leaders. Flights were booked from across the Commonwealth, the Soloman Islands to Canada, Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and Bangladesh to name just a few.

The Queen’s Young Leader Award recognises and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives. Winners of this prestigious Award will receive a unique package of training, mentoring and networking, including a one-week residential programme in the UK during which they will collect their Award from Her Majesty The Queen. With this support, Award winners will be expected to continue and develop the amazing work they are already doing in their communities.

The search for the last ever Queen’s Young Leader has begun! Do you know of someone that you would like to nominate for a Young Leader Award. Applicants must be aged between 18 and 29 throughout 2018 (date of birth must fall between 1st January 1989 – 1st January 2000), a citizen of a Commonwealth country and working to improve the lives of others. All Queen’s Young Leaders (Award winners and highly-commended runners-up) will receive a year-long tailored package of online-learning, mentoring and networking. The 60 Award winners will also be provided with a one week Residential programme in the UK in summer 2018. There is no cash prize.
